Karey is a career Paramedic/Firefighter and has a passion for teaching. She is certified in ACLS, PALS, ITLS, is an Infection Control instructor for the Maryland State Dental Board and has many other disciplines. Karey also holds a Bachelors degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Baltimore. She resides in Frederick, Maryland with her wife and daughters.

Jon Fitzgerald

Juana (pronounced “wanna”) is a 2014 graduate from Gettysburg College where she earned her Bachelors of Arts degree in Health Sciences. She began her Emergency Services career in 2014 after completing her EMT certification through Harrisburg Area Community College. She furthered her EMS studies in 2016 when she graduated with an Advanced EMT certification.  Dedicated to serving the next generation of providers, she attended the HACC EMS Instructor program and is now a certified EMS Instructor for both the Blended (online) and Traditional EMR, EMT, and AEMT courses as well as CPR/AED and First-Aid. She previously worked for Susquehanna Valley EMS, Community LifeTeam EMS, and Spring Grove Ambulance.

Juana is married with one daughter. She recently finished schooling with a BSN and is working as an emergency room nurse. In her spare time, she enjoys making crafts, snuggling up for a good movie, and napping.

Matt Warner

Instructor

Matt currently works full time for UPMC. He is a CPR/ACLS/PALS Instructor for Clinical Education. Matt also provides education on numerous other topics for Clinical Education. He remains part time as a Paramedic for Community LifeTeam EMS. Matt is credentialed as a Paramedic by both the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians and Pennsylvania Department of Health after graduating with honors from the Harrisburg Area Community College Paramedic program. Throughout his 25 year career, Matt has worked as a field provider, preceptor, educator, and management with various EMS organizations throughout South Central Pennsylvania.

Dedicated to preparing the next generation of EMS professionals, Matt serves as adjunct faculty for Community LifeTeam’s Education Division. He has been a State EMS Instructor for 13 years. Through his tenure, he has instructed the Emergency Medical Technician and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician.
Additionally, he instructs American Heart Association and American Safety and Health Institute CPR/AED certification programs for Life Saving Certifiers. Matt has five kids and enjoys camping in his free time.

Dave’s been an EMT since 1994. Dave has worked for Hanover Area Fire Rescue Services since 2005 as a Firefighter/EMT and Driver Operator. He’s married with twin daughter’s whom are in college. In his spare time he enjoys spending time by his pool and sitting on a beach (especially Jamaica). He also loves dogs and is a foster parent for Brookline Labrador Retriever Rescue and has three furry kids of his own.

Kristi joined the LSS team in the fall of 2016.  She had previously worked in the title industry but took a break to pursue other interests.  She is a lifelong resident of Frederick.  In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and friends trying a new restaurant or doing some local travel.

Earl Matlock

Earl Matlock has worked as a Settlement Agent in the Real Estate Title Industry for over 30 years. Earl is the former owner of three Settlement Companies in Maryland. He is a Past Member of the Maryland Title Association and The American Land Title Association. He is currently an Associate Member of The Frederick County Association of Realtors. He brings extensive experience to the Settlement table as a Long Time Licensed Settlement Agent in Maryland. Earl has been a member of The Board of Directors of the Frederick County Student Construction Trades Foundation Inc. for the past 21 years. He is also a founding member of the Frederick County Students Culinary Arts Foundation Inc. Earl is most proud of his association with these Foundations and his association with the Frederick County Career and Technology Center. He is a strong believer in a quality education for everyone.

Wilma Keane joined Lawyers Signature Settlements in 2012 as a processor. She has worked in the title industry since 1998 in various capacities. She is a licensed title producer for the State of Maryland. She grew up in Silver Spring, MD and moved to Frederick County in 2000. She enjoys music and going to the beach.

Jennifer Marsh

Jennifer Marsh has joined Lawyers Signature Settlements as the Director of Marketing. Jennifer has worked in the real estate title industry since 2009 and prior to that was a licensed Realtor. She graduated from Virginia Tech in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing Management and then moved to Frederick to begin her career. Currently, Jennifer lives in New Market with her husband and their three boys. She enjoys watching college football and cheering on the Hokies!

Cheryl Walker is a very important team member at Lawyers Signature Settlements.  She is responsible for ordering and following up on payoffs, ordering Homeowner Association Payoffs, verifying and sending Binders, ordering water and sewer bills, ordering Front Foot Benefit Charges and many other office duties.  She is a wife of 21 years and she loves her dog and enjoys shopping and volunteering.

Shannon joined our team in the Spring of 2021 and currently supports Garrett on the operations and financial side of Lawyers Signature Settlements.  She came to us form the hospitality industry, working in human resources and was ready to learn something new in a new industry of title. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and venturing out to different breweries in the area.

Carey Aquilina, Esq.

Carey A. Aquilina, Esq. began her practice of law twenty years ago in Florida as a litigation associate at Harris, Barrett, Mann & Dew. At Harris, Barrett, Mann & Dew Carey handled all phases of civil litigation, including numerous bench and jury trials. Upon her relocation to California she joined the firm of Ropers, Majeski, Kohn and Bentley and continued her litigation practice focusing primarily on insurance defense litigation and premises liability. In 1998, she joined the firm of Hayt, Hayt and Landau as a Senior Associate where she handled Creditor’s Right Litigation.

In 2003, Carey turned her attention to transactional law and accepted a position as a Settlement Attorney at Classic Settlements in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Then in 2008, she joined Tuscarora Title, now known as eTitle Agency in Leesburg, Virginia as Corporate Counsel and created a Short Sale Department to assist homeowners in Maryland, Virginia and DC to avoid the devastation of foreclosure. With her years of experience before Federal and State Courts, Carey was able to create a niche short sale practice that came to the aide of homeowners with the ability to leave their homes with dignity. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for LAWS, Loudoun Abused Women’s Shelter and lives in Virginia with her husband of 21 years with their 4 children.
